satyam.ss219 Think from the adcom’s perspective. Most MiM applicants will have a portfolio/resume typical of a person with pre-MBA experience—maybe 1 or 2 internships, some experience with co-curricular activities, and some deep dive into their area of education in undergraduate studies. From that point of view, your GMAT becomes extremely critical, even more so if you do not have many interesting aspects in other areas of your application. If you are aiming for more traditional colleges in the EU, a higher Quant and analytical percentile will be a positive sign for the adcoms. But if you are targeting more global programs like INSEAD, LBS, and HEC, I would recommend a retake. This is also because young candidates do not have the same level of work responsibilities that more experienced candidates applying to MBA programs have. So if those with greater burdens can attain the school’s average score for their respective demographic, then fresh graduates applying to MiMs should be able to do so as well.
Confused about your chances? Set up a deep discussion about your profile.
Best wishes
