I run a portal that helps connect MBA applicants with students and alums from the top 15 MBA schools for advice and mentorship for the application process : shortlisting, strategy, storyline, essay reviews, interview prep, scholarships, job prospects, school culture etc.
I was wondering how the average applicant feels about speaking with someone in their target schools? Is it a must-have or nice-to-have?
We are a group of HBS / Wharton admits that started this and personally feel that it was critical to speak with friends / colleagues from the schools that we were applying to. Wanted to run a poll to see if others feel similarly.
Best,
