Hello all,
I know this question is been asked by several people in this forum with different age/years of experience combination. I did read many of your response before posting here and I am thankful for it. That really encouraged me to ask my question as well.
I am a 37 year old and I am having 15 years of IT experience. I am an IT project manager for almost 8 years and I have managed teams of around 50 people functionally and 23 people with direct reporting. Now, to move to the next level, a MBA is expected by most of the top companies. Although the skill set they advertise for the middle management profiles fits me except the MBA part.
I am looking at doing MBA to complement my experience and as an entry card to middle management. I am looking at only 1 year MBA.
Although I did like some MBA programs which provide Data Science in their modules which I would be very much interested in learning along with few MBA exclusive topics.
I am single, so no worries on moving family abroad for studies. I can afford up to 20-25L INR for MBA, so, no expensive universities which charges 50L + INR.
Also, if there is an option to work abroad like stay back , it will be best.
Now to my questions -
1. (the usual) is it worth doing eMBA /MBA @ 37 years/15 years experience spending considerable amount of money?
2. If the answer is Yes to (1), is it recommended to do full-time or part time?
3. Whether abroad (US/UK/NZ/Aus/Ireland) will be good to do MBA w.r.t MBA Expense and job opportunities? If so, which countries?
4. Any recommendation on Universities / Courses which can fit my age & experience profile.
Thanks in Advance,
Regards,
Priya
