GMAT quant and verbal section scores represent a range of levels of performance.
For instance, you can score Q47 with 7 missed questions or 9 missed questions. You can also score Q47 with 8 missed questions at a certain average difficulty level or at a slightly different difficulty level. So, in each case, your performance is slightly different, but in all cases, you score Q47.
Scoring V41 works in a similar way.
So, Q47 and V41 represent a range of levels of performance.
Meanwhile, you total, 200 to 800, score is not based on your section scores. It's based directly on your performance on the quant and verbal sections.
So, it's possible to score Q47 and V41 with overall performance that is scored 720, and it's possible to score Q47 and V41 with overall performance that is scored 710.
So, 710 is your correct score, and your official score will be 710 as well.
