Is the 2-digit number ab divisible by 10?
(1) a+b=10
(2) a=b
In order to have a number be divisible by 10, it needs to have a unit digit of 0.
Statement 1:If any of the digits is 0, the other would be 10. So we cannot have any unit digit of 0. Then ab is not a multiple of 10, sufficient.
Statement 2:Since ab is a two-digit number, we can only pick a from 1 to 9 and the unit digit cannot be 0, sufficient. However, we do know ab is a multiple of 11.
Ans: D
