ISB PGP- WORK EX REQUIRED???

Question

Hey folks!!!

What would be an advisable Work Experience required for the conversion of ISB PGP- 2023?

My work experience as of March 2023, would be 2years 8 months!

PS: GMAT PREP IN PROCESS, PLANNING TO GO FOR R2/R3.

The experience is fine. ISB likes to keep a healthy mix of various experience profiles in the batch and this would include students with significantly lesser than 5 years of experience and also students with significantly more.

So, focus on GMAT and try to maximize it.

ISB only shares min. requirement of work ex i.e. 2 years. Whether our actual work ex is good enough to get into ISB depends on other areas of our profile viz. quality of work ex, GMAT score, academic background, essay, resume and LOR. Applicants fulfilling min. no. of years of work ex requirement may not necessarily be assured of admission because all other factors as mentioned above plays an important role in selection process.

It would be great if you could share a bit more details about other available aspects in your case, so as to get a concrete advise.

I graduated from RVCE, Bengaluru in B.E.-Electronics and Telecommunication in 2020.

Since then, I have been working at Cisco as a 
->Technical Consulting Engineer(22 months)- Skilled in customer handling and assertive leadership. Lead for various escalations and customer negotiations.
Going above and beyond: Lead a stretch project in my organization as a Project Manager for managing the developments/growth in Top Global Customer Accounts in the Service Provider domain.

->Current role: Project Manager: Part of the PMO team, handling a large-scale project for one of the major 5G Customers from the US.

10th: ICSE: 91.5%
12th: CBSE: 91.4%
BTech: 8.5/10
Work ex(as of March,2023)- 32months

Achievement and Co curricular:

- Core member of a team called "PM connect" where we take initiatives to help people transition into PM roles
- Part of a Focus group along with a group of Northwestern MBA students, working on a program named “Future of CXA”
-Member of College Nanosatellite Team- ANTARIKSH
-Master of Ceremony of various events -Part of the Anchoring team of the college
-Member of the Debating Society in College
-Member of Organising teams of E-SUMMITs
-Participated in various debates and declemations during school at school/inter-school level
-Master of ceremony of various events in school

I think work ex part for your profile is good enough to apply to ISB. However, as per my knowledge, ISB has a min. GMAT score of 720 in the last batch. I would suggest you to take a mock exam to determine your current level and plan your application to ISB accordingly.
