Wow..Congratulations to all those who have received admits so far.

I am pleased that a few Indians have received admission, but this info is making me doubly nervous.

Quick question to all of you - Can applicants who are in different timezones to the US expect calls in the middle of the night?

Got a call at about 8.00 PM India time.

i submitted my application on 11/30 and my recommendations were submitted a day or two late.
on 12/10 my application went under review

Thanks heman6681. I was invited to interview on 28-Nov-11 and interviewed with an alumnus in Mumbai on 03-Dec-11. I think for me it was the interview that sealed the deal. It was my 3rd interview and by far the best experience.

Honestly, I personally feel, admission people said that only for calming people down. It seems like there is no more offers out for R1. I now try to be strong and will apply again next year, no matter how dispointed I am this moment.

They still had calls going out yesterday. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions so quickly. The deadline is Tuesday, there is always hope til Tuesday.

I know some students were still interviewing late last week. With R2 in full gear, I am sure the admissions staff is swamped.

considering my interview invite came super late when i had lost all hope
maybe it'll be the same story once gain...

i blame the inventor of the internet (al gore?) for my anxiety. if there was no internet i would have no idea other people are getting admits and just forget about it till i get a thick/thin envelop like the good old days...

Just got acceptance call. Online application status has not changed (yet). I will be receiving the package in the mail that outlines offer details, and 1500 deposit is due Jan 31. I am in the west coast, last name starts with R.

Also, about a week ago I got an email asking me to submit official GMAT scores (I missed Johnson when I was sending them out). So I guess it was a good sign.

Oh, and where is "Johnson Low GPA Club"? Mine is 2.71, so I definitely qualify!

Did anyone receive an email from Johnson today titled "financial planning information from Johnson."

I'm still waiting for my call, and just wondering if anyone admitted received this email.

I'm so confused right now because the school kept on sending mixed signals. :cry:

Hah - I love how they ended it with, "There is no connection between applying for financial aid and the Admissions Committee's decision!"

They shouldn't have sent this email so close to the decision release deadline... especially since they have probably called all the accepted students and could be giving those WLed/dinged unnecessary false hope. If anything, they should have just waited until after the decision release deadline before sending only to those who were admitted.

I'm so glad that I'm already in at my first choice school. Otherwise, I would be in agony waiting for the decision. In any case, good luck to all those who are still waiting! Although it's a long shot, I hope you get good news on Monday/Tuesday.
