Anyone know how strict the time deadline is? I'm on the west coast and realized deadline was on NY time. This was my first MBA application and it says my application was submitted on 12/5 12AM. My payment went through 12/4 11:59PM which I have a receipt of.

Thanks for the link, that was really helpful. I'm in the same boat - app in and one rec in, but my other recommender (who strangely enough is a Johnson alum) has not submitted despite being on time for all my past apps.

You will receive an e-mail confirming they have received your application, but not for the round. If you are worried about a deadline (i.e., submitted at 12:01pm est), I would just go ahead and call them for peace of mind. Otherwise, you will see that your application goes "under review" via the application status page.

I submitted my application last night about 3 hours before the deadline

It's completely random, as far as I can tell. Some people had their statuses changed immediately after they submitted. I think one person who submitted early even had his/her status change before the submission deadline. Mine did not change for about three weeks, and then I was invited to interview about a week after that.

I submitted my application last night about 3 hours before the deadline

My application appeared to have moved pretty quickly because I submitted early. I submitted on 9/27, it went under review 9/30 (before deadline date), and I received an interview invite on 10/7. However, based on what I've seen from other applicants here during R1, and also last year, the timing of when your application goes under review and when you receive an interview invite appears completely random and has absolutely no correlation into the decision. May just be luck of the draw on who is reviewing your application. I would love to think otherwise, but I guess we will find out in a few days!

I received an email earlier from their admission saying that R3 would actually be their "biggest" round with most applicants. Not sure if that is the case.

I don't expect an early call until the decision date... as in my application page, it reads: "COMPLETE - YOUR APPLICATION IS COMPLETE FOR FINAL REVIEW BY THE SELECTION COMMITTEE. WE WILL POST YOUR FINAL DECISION OR SEND AN UPDATE BY 9 A.M. EASTERN TIME ON THE PUBLISHED NOTIFICATION DATE FOR YOUR ROUND."

I contacted admissions for clarification. The application page says decisions by 9 am and the "Important Dates" page says noon. I was told that they would call the people that were accepted to personally make them an offer and post the decision by noon eastern time. The person did not mention and "early" notifications.
