Accept McCombs and wait out Cornell.

Thank you so much, Pyjama. Regarding to IB or Energy job market in Houston and Dallas, McCombs or Jones?

GL on your WL off!
McCombs and Rice both recruit heavily into the Energy sector. So you can't go wrong with either. If I were in your shoes and only getting into my Energy was my goal, then I'd have gone with the school that gave me better $$$.

Generally speaking, people tend to prioritize Cornell/Ross > McCombs > Jones > JHU, independent of the money.

I think you need to consider your priorities. Is it financial? Is it recruiting in a particular sector (energy vs. RE) or geography? It sounds like you have some strong thoughts but are also flexible. That's ideal.

Our suggestion would be go with McCombs. Perhaps you can speak to the admissions office there and see if they would match the money you received from Jones? That might help close the gap.

If Ross or Johnson come through, then you can of course switch your matriculation plans. Depending on the timing, you might lose some money (certainly you will lose your deposit) but hopefully the cost wouldn't be too exorbitant for the chance to go to your dream school.

You should also let Ross and Johnson know you have been accepted to McCombs. They just might view your candidacy differently and may want to win you over...

Congrats on all the good news and good luck,
