Hi everyone,
I am an international student, and I got offers from Rice Jones$, McCombs without any scholarship, JHU full ride, and Waitlist from Cornell and Ross.
I finished my bachelor's degree and master's degree in NOLA and Texas, so I believe my academic background and networks would be helpful in hunting jobs in the South, especially Texas, where I do enjoy studying, working, and living. My issue is my OPT has been used, and I'm in the queue for EB-5 (immigration process). If everything goes in the right direction, the work authorization is not a problem. Otherwise, I have to go back to my home country for further career development. Therefore, based on my case, the global reputation of the university might be a factor to consider as well.
My career goal is unclear. It might change based on the school I go to. My main background is AM, CFA, and CPA holder. If I go to Rice, I believe energy is also good to explore. If I go to Cornell, RE or IB is a great choice. If I go to JHU, tuition-free is attractive.
Therefore, I wonder which one is the best option for me. Personally, I would like to choose Cornell based on its great reputation in US and globally. But I'm on WL. Thank you so much for your read and advice on the offers I got, and I indeed appreciate it.
Happy New Year and GL, everyone.
