Hi adelolmo,

Using that 650 as a gauge, you really do NOT need to be focusing on '700 level' questions right now. With a Q43/V36, you would have missed a bunch of 'gettable' questions on Test Day that were far easier than the '700 level' questions that you're likely referring to. Thus, your emphasis right now should be on honing your overall skills so you don't lose out on those points again.

1) How long ago did you take the Official GMAT?
2) What practice materials have you been using?
3) What is your goal score?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

1) I took the exam exactly a month ago.
2) I read MGMAT books, but didn't practice a lot. I did more or less 25% of OG exercises and no practice exam. Since I'm finishing the OG exercises now, I think these would be enough to practice those "gettable" questions I missed on exam day.
3) My goal is at least 700. I hope I could get 720. I think it's almost impossible to get higher score even if I have vacation until exam day (12 full days for study)

What do you think?

Thanks adelolmo,

I honestly went all in on the one week vacation I took. I used to devote 2 hours for Quant and around 6 hours for Verbal. In terms of the 700 questions, I agree with Rich in that if you can just focus on the basics and get the relatively easier questions right (Especially in Quant from your score), you should be good. Also nothing is impossible, just cover all the bases you can and hope for the best.

Hope that helps!!!

Hi adelolmo,

From what you've described, I think that you did not put in enough time and effort to have scored higher on the Official GMAT. While you could very well score higher with consistent, guided study, it's not clear whether 12 days will be enough time for you to improve to that higher level or not. Have you considered pushing back your Test Date?

Hi,
Your write up is inspiring ! Could you let me know which material did you use to practice quants and SC? Were they just the OG and verbal/quant review books ?

Thanks.
