Re: Just got 700 on my GMAT. Should I retake it? [#permalink]
Hi All,

Thanks for you replies. I am/was afraid that with this kind of score I could be crossed out from top schools. Also because I have a European undergraduate degree, where a top 5% GPA converts into a not so great 1-4 scale grade, given the different grading system.

Rich, regarding you questions:
1) How much time did you spend preparing for the GMAT?
I've been studying for a couple of months, but mostly only on weekends... I work full time at a PE, so it's a bit hard to find enough time...
2) What materials did you use?
I used the Manhattan guides, and then did lots of exercises from the official guides and the Kaplan Math Workbook. Recently I took some practice exams as well.
3) When are you applying to business school?
I'd like to apply for to start in September 2016, ideally in the first round of applications (September 2015)

Hello jgr89,

Congratulations. 700 is quite competitive, but you should of course check with admissions at the schools to which you'd like to apply. If you do decide to resit the exam, you should try to determine during your studies if you need to review specific concepts or if it's a matter of sharpening your test taking strategies to boost your quantitative score.

Best of luck!
