Some MBA applicants may find this surprising but until 2017 MBA students learning in IIMs were technically not getting Master of Business Administration degree; Their degrees were called as "Post Graduation Diploma in Management or PGDM", which is not a Masters course but just a diploma that can be done after graduation.
Main reason for this word play was that IIMs are considered autonomous institutions, which means they are not affiliated with any University, and as per rules of Indian govt institutions that are not affiliated with any University cannot award Masters degrees. This rule was amended in 2017 which enabled IIMs to award Masters degrees.
So starting from the batch of 2019, IIM-A Ahmedabad will provide MBA degrees to its PGP students instead of the traditional PGDM diplomas. This will be proved to be a boon to many IIM graduates who were facing difficulties in post MBA job search especially in international companies for having an MBA diploma certificate instead of Masters degree on their CV.

Right. Both 2 year and 1 year full time programs are now called MBA degree.
The document contains the wordings of 2 year full time pgp and 1 year full time pgpex to mention the duration of 5ge course but overall degree is now an MBA. It is surely a crucial moment for IIMs in a race to improve it's global outreach.
