Hello All,
I would like to get your opinion on
Manhattan GMAT’s CATs compared to the real GMAT/GMAT Prep. Here is the history of all my practice exams/CAT exams.
GMAT Prep 1: 560 – Q42 V – something really low, like low 20s.
After completing
MGMAT’s strategy guides, I started taking their CAT exams.
MGMAT CAT 1 – 600 – Q42 V 30
MGMAT CAT 2 – 630 – Q44 V 32
MGMAT CAT 3 – 650 – Q45 V 35
GMAT Prep 2 – 610 – Q44 V 30
I took the real GMAT this past weekend I performed atrociously. I scored a 600 Q45 V27. The general consensus is
MGMAT’s Quant is harder than the real GMAT and the verbal is easier, maybe not necessarily easier but indicative of GMAT’s verbal. I experienced this first hand. While I can’t detail the differences between the two, I can ascertain the two are different. My mistake was relying too heavily on
MGMAT’s study guides while not focusing on
OG questions.
What suggestions do you have for me to raise my verbal score?
Does reading GMAT-like material daily help?
Thanks.
