Hi guys.. need a little help understanding the scores for Kaplan Gmat tests. nw reading all the posts on this forum i do understand that kgmats are tougher than any other CAT but iv taken 3 kgmats till date and it hs thrown some scores which dont make any sense to me
Kaplan GMAT1: 640 85 percentile
math: correct 24 wrong 13 score 40
verbal: correct-26 wrong 15 score 36
Kaplan GMAT2: 580
70 percentile
math: correct 27 wrong 10 score 39
verbal: correct 23 incorrect 18 score 31
Kaplan GMAT3: 640 85 percentile
math: correct 34 wrong 3 score 50
verbal: correct 28 wrong 13 score 35
now im no gmat scoring expert but sohuldnt the breakup of the 3rd test give a score upwards of 700.
pls help me understand this..

Are these CATs that you're taking with your prep course?
Something doesn't seem right with that last score.
1) The highest scaled quant score I ever got was 49. The 49 was with TEN wrong. Granted, I got the first 10 or 11 questions right and the Kaplan CAT rewards you for getting many right in the beginning, but still I don't understand why the scaled score would go up only 1. Unless it's because it's a high score and there wasn't much room to score higher.
2) Q50 and V35 are both higher scaled scores than I got on the previously mentioned CAT. I rocked the quant but bombed the verbal. I had a 29 or 28 scaled score for verbal. So I had a 49 in quant and less than 30 in verbal. My score? 660. Something's not right.

Yes.. these are CATs.. and I agree.. something doesnt seem right to me too.. i checked the 800 score predictor and a breakup of 50 & 35 yields 710.. newy.. hope to pick up my verbal for the real thing. want to touch atleast a 42 in the GMAT.
