Hello everyone,
I have been accepted into two schools and I am in doubt which to accept, I hope you will help me:
Kelley (Indiana) ($$ scholarship of 31687 / year)
Broad (Michigan State) ($$ scholarship of 38616 / year)
Kelley will cost $ 15,000 more than Broad for the two years. I have the money, but it's a considerable amount ... Nowadays I get about 30 thousand dollars a year in my job.
I am a civil engineer with 6 years of experience in the operational area of large infrastructure construction in Brazil.
As for my professional goals, I have an open mind but I will probably continue in the operational area, possibly in industries or even in retail or logistics companies. The supply chain area is a possibility. I will hardly go to areas like finance / marketing / consulting.
Between Broad and Kelley, I was accepted on Broad first and got lots of sympathy for the university. I know Kelley is better ranked, but I wonder if the $ 15,000 more that I'll have to pay will be worth it.
can you guys help me?

Congratulations on your admits and scholarships!
You would be crazy to pick Broad while you have an admit with a partial scholarship from Kelley. Let me keep it short
I know it is tough to change course and you probably have set your heart on Broad, figured out who or where you will be living, etc and now you will have to change. However, the advantages of going to a Top 20 program will more than outweigh that last minute turn and it is not a U-Turn at all. Recruiting, classmates, professors, alums, and national brand recognition. It all adds up!

I would agree with everything bb said.
Based on opinion of 26,699 MBA students, alumni, and recruiters in 2018 about their goals and experience, as well as compensation and job-placement data from each school in Bloomberg rankings Kelley comes as 32. vs. Broad being 64. nationally :

Since $$$ are lenses you use to evaluate offers, lets put things in perspective, from Kelly you can expect $137,568 weighted salary yearly, vs. after Broad you can expect $118,050, does this makes sense for $15,000 higher initial investment ??

I guess all those rankings, that you suppose to be aware of, are not for nothing, they do tell a story.
I would go to Kelly for sure in your place, that's all I can say.
