Hi all,

Recently submitted a round 2 app for Kellogg's 1Y program. GMAT is on the lower end (670), but have good work exp (2 years IB, 4 years PE with promo to VP) and education (BBA Accounting 3.4, MS Finance 3.7 from, good, large school in TX). Wondering if anyone has any insight into if Kellogg's 1Y program has different weighting / standards for GMAT score than 2Y program? Not looking to make a wholesale career change, and think I have good work exp, so hoping these things maybe offset my low quant score. Have read mixed things on Kellogg's 1Y program having slightly lower standards (at least for GMAT), but would love any insight here.

Based only on anecdotal evidence, the gmat ranges seem similar. I have been in touch with a few R1 admits as well as current students and they seem to have their gmat scores hover in between the 680-7xx mark.
If I am not wrong, Kellogg’s reported median and range are blended across their programs.
Happy to be corrected if my understanding is off.

Your profile seems good. Your GMAT score is competitive for Kellogg as the average GMAT score for Kellog is between 640-720.

Now, it revolves around how you have created your stories and connected the overall narrative to Kellogg’s values, community and goals. If you have highlighted the roles/responsibilities you have tackled as a PE and VP with a good impact, then I am sure you have a decent chance at the program. As far as I understand there is no difference in the standards of GMAT for 1 year MBA and 2 years at Kellogg.
