Well I'm assuming the interview everyone since it doesn't really make it seem like they can draw the line. Part I is done WITHOUT essays and without resume. It is basic information like GPA/GMAT/EC/WE. I would find it hard for some school to reject you on the basis of that information without knowing goals and circumstances.

Since I have turned in Part I already, I actually should have my interview notification before the part II deadline (they say 6 week time frame). Which makes me think they are not an by invite only school. Another thing that seems strange is that they tell you that you can schedule on-campus interviews 2 days after you submit part I.

I think the only reason it is not 100% is that they grant waivers to people in "remote areas".

That's just my take, anyone have a different opinion?

Kellogg's does interview everyone. However, if a person lives internationally where they will not be able to conduct the interview, they will waive the interview until they review the app. If they are further interested in the international applicant, they will schedule an interview before an admission decision is made.

Thanks, That's Awesome. I was totally freaking out think I might not get an interview. Would really suck if I was like that 3% they reject without interview.

Does anyone know the time frame before the email you your interviewers?

Kellogg admin officers stated many times that their policy is 100% interview.
I think this will make them extremely busy this year

Kellogg interviews anyone who wants to visit the campus and then they interview anyone who is in a location where they have an alumni available to interview. If you arent in a location where they have hub interviews or alumni available they will offer phone interviews to people they are going to consider admitting. I think around 95% of all applicants get interviewed.

Hmm, this bring up an interesting dilemma. I'm located in LA, so I believe the this is a huge alumni hub. However I will be visiting kellogg at the end of the month (a dual chicago/kellogg trip). I put off-campus interview so that I can go visit without feeling the pressure of having the interview and really enjoy myself. Would it be better than I do an on-campus interview instead? I will lose the stress free visit, but would I gain any brownie points for travelling so far to visit?

My preference is really an offsite interview so that I can relax on my trip, but brownie points (if any) and crossing having my interview done early would also be nice.

What do you think? River any suggestions?

I did offsite...personally I dont think it matters. Off campus probably gives you a chance to connect more with your interviewer since they arent doing dozens and dozens of interviews.

I assume both recs have to be in before the interview invite? Also, are you on or off campus?

Okay but if you are taking an off-campus interview, Kellogg will contact you to schedule it, right? You don't need to call the admin office to request an off-campus interview? (e.g. in NY or DC)?

I can be wrong, but no you don't need the recs to be in. The recs are Part II. Basicly you only need to fill out the form for Part I with you education/work/EC history with your zipcode and your set.
