Hey guys. Thought I'd throw this out there, not sure if anyone will be able to help me. I don't know if I've seen any current students on here recently, but if not maybe some others have encountered the answer to my question through their research.
So my main goal with bschool is to transfer into brand management for a food company. However, I also would prefer to be in NYC area after school. In looking through Kellogg's employment report and googling (ie stalking) the names of people who are employed in companies that I'm interested in (ie Pepsi and Mars) it looks like nearly all of them are in the Chicago offices. The only person in the NY office at Pepsico is in a finance role.
So my question is: what is the on-campus recruiting like for NY area based consumer products/marketing jobs? Do certain companies only recruit for specific offices? What about posted jobs, are there a lot for NY based positions? Would appreciate any help!

Just a quick question:
I had requested an off-campus interview and was excited to get an alumnus in my preferred post MBA industry. Anyway, they were not available so I spoke with Admissions and they said they were looking for another alumnus. Now two days later they simply cancel my interview letting me know that this won't impact my application in any way.
I'm not really sure what to make of this, is this just very normal or should one be worried?
After all I was looking forward to finding out a few things about Kellogg first hand - that doesn't happen and that's fine but I think it is irritating that a decision is now made based on paper only...
Anyone in a similar situation here?
