Though I have not tried Knewton's diagnostic test, I am sure it would be Computer Adaptive Test. Otherwise it would be of lesser use if anyone wants to check his/her initial level from this test. All the free tests I have attempted were Adaptive, then be it Manhattan, Veritas, Economist etc.
