Hi,

I have a conditional offer from LUMS (Lancaster University Management School). The condition I need to meet to convert my offer into an unconditional one is that I must submit a pre-admission essay.

The deadline given to me is a week only and the essay must comprise 2000 words. I wish to understand the bearing of such as essay on my offer. How much importance or weightage is given to such an essay? Also, who goes through such essays the Ad Com or the alumni/current students? Is there anyone here who has worked on such an essay and point me in the right direction?

Thanks for writing in.

The essay could be on a variety of topics so one can't really pinpoint. In all probability, they will be checked by professors and you will need to be very careful that you do not indulge in any kind of plagiarism. Focus on putting forth your analytical abilities through the essays as well as personalized experiences that will tell the Committee more about you as a person.

Hey, After interview how much time did LUMS take to come back with offer?
I gave interview last Friday and still waiting.
