Last Friday a certain shop sold 3/4 of the sweaters in its inventory. Each sweater sold for $20. What was the total revenue last Friday from the sale of these sweaters?
(1) When the shop opened last Friday, there were 160 sweaters in its inventory.

We require to know the number of sweater to answer these question.
(1) When the shop opened last Friday, there were 160 sweaters in its inventory.
Straight answer ...
\(\frac{3}{4}*20*160=2400\)
Sufficient

This tells us that \(1-\frac{3}{4}\) of sweaters are 40..
So total = 40*4/1=160..
Ans same as above

Just have a query on this question, per stated statement, it's not clear whether any purchase made on Friday. Hence, in this case, do we need to assume that there were no purchase made. If not, then answer must be E
