Hi nivedita88,

Back in the middle of last October, you posted that you had scored 640/Q44/V34 on the Official GMAT. Since that was over 6 months ago, it would help to know more about the studying you've done since then:

1) What study materials have you used since then?
2) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs since then (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)? How many CATs have you taken in the new, shorter format?
3) Is your Score goal still 740?

so back in october , I was 7 months pregnant with my dear daughter and gave GMAt with one one prep.

after my delivery i took some time off and started taking care of the baby. Now with family support I had started my prep again from April.

This time I started studying CR and quant(owing to the old pattern)

1) What study materials have you used since then?
Jamboree material/ red book and OG. going through blue book)
gave 2 mocks. verbal is still weak.
2) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs since then (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)? How many CATs have you taken in the new, shorter format?
pretty decent. Jamboree mocks dont give us a consolidate score or precentile
3) Is your Score goal still 740?
yes. better to have a target that enables a guided preparation

Hi nivedita88,

To determine exactly what you should be working on, we really need an accurate assessment of your current skills, strengths and weaknesses. As such, I strongly recommend that you take a NEW CAT (one with questions that you have NOT seen before and that will provide us with all of the data that we need) and take it in a realistic fashion (take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, take it away from your home, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.). Once you have that score, you should report back here and we can discuss how best to proceed.

hello, need some help with RC. I am pretty strong in SC
decent in CR and weak in RC. giving Gmat on 8th June. Need your advice considering the pattern has changed and the number of questions we can expect is most for RC , then CR and then SC.

Hi
You can refer to this thread for strategies on RC.
https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-club-rc ... 64834.html
They are really useful. Also, practice atleast 3 RC passages everyday following the strategies.
For CR, I would suggest to study from the Mgmat guide. But considering the time frame you have, do not try many new things. Follow the resources that you have already followed and try to polish those strategies.
All the best.

Hi nivedita88,

"Review" is an exceptionally important part of the GMAT training process; your ability to define WHY you're getting questions wrong is essential to defining the areas that you need to work on (and the specific things that you need to 'fix '). As such, I'd like to know a bit more about your last CAT. While a full Mistake Tracker would provide a lot more information, there are some basic questions that you should be able to answer (and the more EXACT you can be with your answers, the better):

After reviewing each section of this recent CAT, how many questions did you get wrong....
1) Because of a silly/little mistake?
2) Because there was some math/verbal that you just could not remember how to do?
3) Because the question was too hard?
4) Because you were low on time and had to guess?
5) How many Verbal questions did you 'narrow down to 2 choices' but still get wrong?

Rich
