I think yes. It’s better to check with the admissions team.

Yeah absolutely, there is no issue with that but you should definitely reach out to admission office.

Hello!

Aanya Jain here (LBS Alumni and Interviewer).

No unfortunately you can’t apply. So the way LBS counts work experience is the gap between the year you’ll be joining the program and the year you graduated from the last university on paper. Hence, doesn’t matter if you had a gap year or if you didn’t cross a full time work experience on paper- you won’t be eligible for 2026 intake for LBS if you graduated before 2024.

You can still look at other universities such as INSEAD though!

For more guidance, you can reach out to me on linked in or DM!

Hii, I’m applying to LBS MiM, and they require language test results. I’m unsure whether to take IELTS or Duolingo. Duolingo is more affordable and can be taken anytime from home, but I feel IELTS might carry more weight with business schools. Can someone clarify, do they only require a minimum score just for formality, or does the specific exam you choose hold more value?

Hello,

You can take either of the two- both carry the same weightage. English proficiency test is simply taken as a basic qualification that you need to give simply to ensure that you can understand English. Scoring a higher score/grade/band or TOEFL/Duolingo/IELTS doesn’t matter. You just need to get the minimum for LBS.

Hope this helps!

Hi all Good Morning.

I am an an Indian, currently working as an Engineer (2 years of exp as of now). I am automatically getting interest in pivoting my career towards the management side.

But i am confused on these aspects, and would be glad to receive clarifications-

1. Which course is suitable for me at this stage- an MiM or an MBA?

2. How is an MiM different from an MBA? i need to know the adv and disadv of both the courses, as well as their post-grad outcome.

3. Is Indian MBA is equal to any of these?

4.Which is better- an MiM/MBA from abroad or an MBA from India?
