Which one would you recommend?
I want to work for at least 5 yrs and then apply for Ivy League MBA.
I am from India and comfortable learning french if I HAVE to, but would prefer to work in english speaking countries.
Which Institute would help my application for MBA?

kawasaki2000 - Both are great programs. Here are some key differences:

1. Duration: LBS MiM is 12-16 months, whereas the HEC MiM is longer i.e. 18-24 months with optionality for an additional gap year (for internships etc.).

2. Post-MiM Career paths: LBS MiM has a high % of class placed in consulting (48%), followed by Financial Services (26%) and Tech (16%). For HEC MiM, the split is more diversified: consulting (23%), Finance & Accounting (28%), General Management (22%) among others. Geographically, LBS MiM placed in UK (60%), followed by Asia (17%) and EU (14%). HEC MiM placed in France (57%), rest of EU (16%) and UK (16%) among others. While learning French certainly helps, there are other English-friendly geographies as well. These are based on 2022/ 2023 employment reports. Depending on your career goals and geographic preferences, one program could fit better than the other.

3. Curriculum/ Alum: Due to the difference in duration and focus areas, the courses/ electives list are different. Speaking to alum can also help you guage the culture/ vibe, which is an important factor given that you'll be spending time/ capital on an important decision.

Brand-wise (this is subjective to an extent though), HEC is more recognized for its MiM, given it's high ranking in FT etc.

For a detailed analysis of the two programs, you could check out: HEC Paris MiM deepdive and LBS MiM deepdive

Feel free to reach out if you'd like to have a deeper chat.
