Profile #8 - ARLee Consulting


Demography – Korean Male – 32 years old
Education – Bachelor's in Business from no SKY (Seoul, Korea, Yonsei) or KAIST or SKK. Late graduation – Started college in 2007 and graduated in 2016.
GMAT – 700
Work Experience – Worked as a factory worker in 2 grocery plants for 12 months from 2011 to 2012 in Australia. Launched online "lunch box" delivery platform in Korea in 2013 with some friends and closed it in less than one year. In 2016, joined an e-commerce start-up in Korea. In 2018, joined a Fintech company in Korea as E-commerce Business Development Manager.
Extra-Curricular – None
Other – Applied in 2018 to LBS, NYU and UCLA Anderson with the same 700 GMAT score and with the help of a Korean admissions consultant. Rejected from all schools without interview.

Post-MBA Goals – Short term – Strategy Manager in Fintech. Long term – Entrepreneurship in Fintech.
Schools applied to – LBS, Rotman, NYU Stern, Fuqua, UCLA Anderson

Rotman because it's the lowest ranked of the bunch

... and Anderson because I don't think they're afraid of a little entrepreneurial hustle or an unconventional undergrad path.
