I'm a huge history buff, especially anything naval (I also love old ships of the line).

Reading (I'm a huge Bucowski fan), anything from the classics to obscure authors.

I have a rottweiler, and I love taking her on long walks.

I don't have cable, but I love The Office (saw the BBC version first, it's amazing), Curb Your Enthusiasm. Dry, subtle, witty comedy is the best.

I started becoming annoyed with myself recently that I didn't have a real hobby...like surfing, or playing the guitar (I played the guitar for years, then had to sell my Gibson SG for rent money, haven't purchased a new one since...I can't wait to again when I have the $), however I did just start riding my bike to get around town. I have a fixed gear, it's a blast!! No gears, no coasting, and if your "hardcore" (not me), then you don't even ride with a brake

Recent stuff i've cooked :-

Loin of pork, stuffed with lemon zest, sage and other herbs
Beef Wellington (with pancetta and mozeralla stuffing)
White Chocolate mousse
Poached assortments of fish with ginger, spring onions and assorted herbs
Herb bechamel pasta with aubergine and peppers
Citrus Salad with king crab and queen scallops
Crispy Foie Gras
Caramelised apples with spice (cinnamon, star anise)
Wheat-free cheese cakes with mixed nuts and fruit.

Perhaps a good way to stress down during the waiting part of the B-school Saga!

Nice post -

Sports - Pretty much anything. Play rec volleyball, tennis, football.
TV - Watch mainly football and basketball (pro or college), MotoGP, Top Gear.
Weekends - usually involve a "brisk" ride on the sportbike, would love to get it to the track in the near future ($$$).
Reading/Movies - both of these have taken a hit, studying for the CFA Level 1 Exam in December.
Other - Travelling, Eating, the occasional computer game (fallout 3 is bringing back memories), preping the resume for grad school.
