Line M travels through three quadrants of the coordinate plane. Does Line M travel through Quadrant IV?
Passes through 3 quadrant, so will not be parallel to any axia

(1) Line M has a negative x-intercept
See the lines in red..
If positive slope , no
If negative slope, yes
Insuff

(2) Line M has a negative y-intercept
See the lines in blue colour
Irrespective of slope it will pass through IV quadrant
Sufficient

As per y = mx + c

Y intercept is C right?

And x intercept is the point on x axis right?

Hi saurabh9gupta

Yes what you are saying is correct

x-intercept is basically where the line cuts through the x-axis.

y = mx + c as you labeled it.

If you let the value of x = 0 then y = c because the line will only intercept (cut through) the y-axis when the x value is 0

I hope this helps.
