I am an international student that got my Bachelor's (BBA) in an American University. By the time I begin applying to schools, I will only have about 9 - 12 months of work experience because of the OPT Rule (which permits International non-STEM students only one year of work authorization and about 3 years for STEM majors)
So my question is what are my chances of getting into Kenan-Flagler or Mendoza? My undergraduate GPA is 3.6. I did a lot of extra curricular activities as an undergraduate (community service, served as University Ambassador, and held some leadership positions). I also recently had a job promotion where I work (although in total I would ONLY STILL have about one year of full-time work experience). I am yet to write my GMAT (will take it this month).
So as an international student with only one year of work experience because of the OPT Rule? Would I be wasting my time applying to Kenan-Flagler or Mendoza? Is the lack of work-experience a deal breaker?
Thanks in advance for a reply

Its possible, with a stellar GMAT score (750+ approx as a target), an early application, and a strong app in terms of career goals, fit, and especially the answer to why NOW. If you can bring these together, it may be possible, though its still not going to be easy. Mendoza will be a greater possibility than KF.
