I have to be honest that having a few friends who were accepted with similar profiles is not the most ideal situation. However, I don't think you need to be discouraged.
It could also mean that they favour someone with a profile like yours. Moreover, I believe what you have to do is sell yourself as a unique applicant. Your program of study and nationality do not paint the whole picture - You may be from the same country and in the same program, but what distinguishes you from your friends? This would include things like living abroad, your volunteer experiences, sports, leadership. You are still unique. My humble suggestion is for you to place more emphasis on these distinguishing characteristics and less on your school and program during the interview.

). I recently read in an article that although LBS does not really rank #1 in the world (as claimed by Financial times) in terms of prestige in the minds of employers, it does come in at 10th, which is neverthless quite amazing.
