Congrats to you all! It seems we have all been invited to interviews... maybe we rock (lol!) or maybe... they invite most of the people for interviews for the MiM programme? hummm...

Wow! That is gr8 news and I guess that makes it a clean sweep (atleast as far as interview decisions) for all the r3 applicants in this thread.

@nezhmet: Just thought of buzzing you to get to know the result. Congratulations to you!! For those who have recently joined this thread, nezhmet is the person who in a way rekindled the life into this thread and there has been continuous activity ever since.

@kitsune: That’s an interesting point that you have brought up on whether most of the candidates who have applied for MiM programme have got selected for the interview. I'd like to believe otherwise though. All the profiles in this thread that have been selected, on first impression look pretty good. There has been reasonably good to stellar gmat scores in these profiles. Even within this small group of 8 people, the demographic profile is highly diverse. It is also worth mentioning that some joined us after they received their interview decisions. Nonetheless, whatever the reason may be of such results, I just hope that similar results come up on April 1 as well.

@guillaumeverdier: Just as I had mentioned before, I guess the time has now come for you to take center stage in this thread. You could start off by sharing your recent interview experiences with us.

First, congrats to everybody who got the interview (most of you apparently).

@kitsune: I agree with sgrssr, it's amazing everyone got the interview, but take a look at those profiles! crazy GMAT scores, international profiles with diversity and some work experience in different domains... I would have been surprised if they didn't have had the interview!

I had it @LBS, with the recruitment and Admissions Manager. It was a bit less than 1 hour long, and I managed to have it on the same day as the information session. I got to meet MiM students and visit the school & Laing house, which for those of you who have never been there, is just amazing!!!

I found the questions and the interview very nice compared to HEC or ESSEC for example. The interviewer was friendly, had interesting questions on my profile and knew my résumé and essays. Of course, the "be yourself" advice is useless since you will never be yourself in an interview. But don't try to appear as someone you're not. They will notice! They have recruitment experience, and WILL mostly ask you the questions you fear
Read your essays many times, try to talk with students before the interview, look at the content of the courses, etc. Know the programme and be prepared to justify why LBS, why MiM, why now. And if you tell your presented other programmes, explain why. Be honest!

Prepare a short presentation of yourself (5min maximum) without reading your résumé. Try putting things that are not in your essays too. Remember the interviewer is not always familiar with the studies in your country, or with your domain of studies, so make it simple but interesting!!!

At the end of my interview, I wasn't sure about how it had gone. I had the feeling it was a nice conversation, nothing like an interview. I also knew I had made some mistakes... But apparently, it worked!!

I'll be waiting for your questions...

Nobody has the actual numbers... Except for the admissions office. Just be aware that the programme is highly selective (obviously), but if you got through the first stage, it means you can make if further!!

@guillaumeverdier, I got 650 at the GMAT and I was also invited! Well... let's see how it goes... hopefully I am admitted and do not have to go to the HEC/ESCP/EMLyon interviews!

@Yogotiger, my interview would be like that of guillaumeverdier. But if you are outside the EU at the moment, I guess it'd be with an alumni in your country. However, I live in the Canary Islands at the moment, they should be considered non-EU for this purposes!

@ kitsune - Did admissions decide the interview date and time for you, or were you put in touch with your interviewer and given the chance to work out a time that was convenient for both of you. Just wondering because I work a full time job and might have to take the China Town bus to NYC (and you're putting your life at risk riding those buses!). Hopefully they'll be able to find someone in Boston though

Well in my case, the interview is with the admissions dept. So they provided me with a date and hour and asked me whether it worked for me. So I'm taking 3 days off of work. But in your case, I guess you would contact the alumni in your zone and he/she would be a little bit more flexible. I had to spend 160€ plus 12500miles for airplane tickets! I hope it is worth it!

Just got my interviewer details. He works in pharmaceuticals, which is completely different from my film/marketing/pr background. I'm wondering if I was matched with him because I'm currently contracting at biotech company, even though that's not the area I want to go into. Hopefully we'll have something to talk about!

@guillaumeverdier - hey mate! thanks for sharing your experiences with all of us. Have a question for you. Might sound trivial but nonetheless was there any specific dress code mentioned to you for your interview?

BTW, looks like kitsune would be the first to get interviewed in r3. Whens your interview KAS ? Have anyone else received their interview details? I am yet to receive it.

@sgrssr Nobody told me anything about dress code. But I would advise you to dress formal just to make sure you won't be judged on this detail.
