I think your first step should be to get familiar with the format of the exam. Once you know the format I would suggest you to take a mock. Taking a mock will help you identify your weak/strong areas and will help you start your preparation accordingly. If you need help with study plans then you can refer the following link: https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-study-p ... l#p1680625

Study material:
For self study I have seen people use Manhattan guides.
For online classes there are many good options but I have seen people prefer Target Test prep for Quant and e-gmat for verbal.
Usually these online classes have free trial periods so you should try them and see which one suits you the best.

Hope this helps you and good luck!

Hello Heidi,

Welcome to the GMAT club, and best luck for your preparations. You have stated that your target score is 700+. Remember various possible combinations to achieve a score of 700 or above: V37/Q50, V39/Q49, V43/Q45.

Did you take any diagnostic test?

If yes, we request you to write me back with your latest score to assist you better.

Having trained a lot of students for GMAT from India and other countries, I, as a GMAT instructor, will first recommend you appear for a free diagnostic test on https://www.mathrevolution.com.

Your diagnostic score will clarify what plan you should adopt to beat the GMAT. An initial mock rating will help me to understand your concept knowledge of both the sections.

We would suggest you follow the below-mentioned plan for each section. You may also connect with our other experts or me to discuss the topics/ concepts or lessons.

Plan 1: Basic concept building- try 650 level questions- take the mock test-- learn alternative methods and shortcuts-- try 700+ level questions-- take mock tests.

For Math: You need to command the basic concept of all topics. Q of 45+ will make your life easier. You should visit our website https://www.mathrevolution.com to check our free trial lessons and free videos.

To strengthen the basic concept on various topics like arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and word problems, you should opt for a 5-hour Math Review lesson. Solve as many questions as you can relate to different topics. You can connect with our experts if you have doubts about math. With my experience as a GMAT instructor for more than 8 years now, I would recommend connecting with an expert and learning the concept soon. Also, I will help you understand various approaches to solving difficult level questions of some specific topics, which will also help you save time-solving questions through quick methods.

For Verbal: Revise your grammar basics by GMAT grammar book or Aristotle grail for sentence correction. For RC and CR, try solving the 700+ level question.

Plan 2: Once your basics are strong, we recommend learning quick and alternative approaches to solve questions to save you the time. Q 51 shortcut will help you do so.

Keep checking your performance by taking mock tests. You may try our free diagnostic test once.

Visit https://www.mathrevolution.com/member/signup. Consider a 7-day full on-demand course for free to see if this fits your needs. Get access to our free trial lessons and free videos.

Also, you should check this forum for some reliable resources related to verbal. For sentence correction, you may refer to OG or Aristotle Grail. For RC and CR, try solving level 700 questions.

We will be waiting for your break score to suggest better about section-wise preparation.
