Hey Everyone!

Please ping me if Anyone is interested to share EG mocks with me. I currently have 14 mocks. Can discuss with you on personal chat! :)
P.S. - I found them really goof so if someone is just starting out their prep, they’re really good for practice.
Thanks in Advance :D

Please study quant world problems I was scoring in 50s and 51s in quant in all my mocks but in centre the questions were all lengthy and bit tough with time pressure so please concentrate on quant more don’t be lethargic specially for Indians

Same word problems are now lengthier and more tricky. Need RC skills.

I’ll give you bit of context
First 8 questions
Questions were moderate with one or two long world problems and rest all are basic NP and Miscellaneous questions
2nd and 3 rd quarter I had 5-6 long world problems I mean literally 6-7 lines and in the 4th quarter I had 7 mins 7 questions left with geometry questions and those were standard easy ones I scored 48 but man i was sweating before the scores showed up and there were also dicy stats question which were also long
World problems in DS can be handled but it was PS **

I think people are started to crack verbal easily now with prep assistance and they may have upped the ante in quant with recent set of questions to level the playing field I am not certain but boy I got kicked right and left for taking quant lightly

I wrote my exam in chennai centre and everyone felt the same with quant being hard .

Thanks. Ending up with a 48 is great for the situation you were in at the end of the test

I second the word problems being trickier and lengthier. Takes 1-1.2 to process the info only.

You could’ve had a point or two higher if you managed your time better. Better to skip those long word problems in between then find yourself with 7/7 remaining at the end

I think a key problem solving strategy for quants should be a meta analysis of each question for about 15 seconds. The main objective during that time should be to figure out approx. how much time it would take to solve the question.

one could integrate this ‘meta analysis’ in one’s prep too. Just do that for tough questions in a row - give yourself only 15 secs per question. And later check how close you were in your understanding of the problem.

Re: Looking for a Study Buddy? Sign up Here! [#permalink]
100 percent could have skipped but I thought Atleast I should make an educated guess and not randomly select answers even while guessing I spent 3 mins reading the question and processing the data points
1. Absolute value
2. Probability , P&C
3. Geometry

These topics were okayish with standard traps and rules followed but the lengthy ones it’s not even common sense and I tried all the methods to solve quickly nothing worked even brute force is tough cause I can’t recognise which topics they were from and with variables not even numbers that stumped me. I just wanted people here to know these observations so that they can be well prepared
