I think the biggest question we need to answer is what happened differently with verbal during the official tests.

*After the first GMATPrep exam, were you working with any familiar material? For instance, had you seen some of the questions here on gmatclub or in some kind of bootleg question bank?

*How was your verbal timing on the real test?

*Do you tend to catch meaning issues in SC? (Meaning has been emphasized more on the official test in recent years.)

*What was the week before the test like? Were you getting enough sleep, eating well, and maintaining a normal exercise routine? Were you cramming extensively?

*Are you using your breaks well on the real test? Are you having a snack and moving around?

Those are my first few ideas. You can certainly keep studying, but if there's something you're doing on test day that is undermining your performance, even years of study won't help!
Hello DmitryFarber

I have been studying for a long time.
My scenario is somewhat similar although the difference lies in the practice exam scores.
I always got below 700 only in all practice exams.
Please visit the link below for the gist of the whole thing.

It seems like you were doing the right things. It's hard to say why your score went down so much. Did you order an Enhanced Score Report? They don't provide as much information as I'd like, but they can help you to see where you might have run into trouble.

In any case, for you and Mechmeera, the most important thing is to keep studying and hit that test again. Sometimes it's hard to understand the way in progress plays out, but that doesn't stop you from coming out with a great score. For instance, just today I heard from a student who kept underperforming despite his extensive preparation. We worked together and he put in a great deal of work, only to score well below his practice tests *again* on the official exam. Two weeks later, he retook one more time and went up 80 points (6 points higher on each section), finally meeting his goal score. What made the difference? We don't know! He already had the ability, but sometimes even after we've proven we can do it at home, we need another shot or two to make it happen on the official test. I wish that weren't the case, but I've seen it many times.
