Hi all,
I am looking to apply in Round 1 to M7 but would love specific feedback for my chances at HBS, Wharton, and Stanford
Country (current) - United States
Citizenship - United States
Education - University of Pittsburgh B.S EE, Columbia University M.S EE
Industry - Healthcare and Tech
Function/Role - Data Scientist (first half of work exp) and Product Manager (current), Healthtech startup (joined as 60th employee Series A, now 800 people with a valuation of $3.5B post Series E), Promoted
1 Yr in Data Scientist Role at another startup, working with the largest 3D body dataset
Years of Work experience - 5
GMAT/GRE (mention with split) - 750 (Q49,V42)
Target application round - Regular , Round 1
Post-MBA role targeted - Consulting, VC
Short-term goals - I am super interested in the Healthcare and AI field but wanted to work in a more business/corp strategy capacity so a Consulting Role or a Corporate Dev role at a company would be ideal.
Long-term goals - Given my extensive health tech and startup experience, I would be interested in being on an investment team that invests in companies similar to the ones I have worked for, at an early stage or mid-stage.
Extra-curriculars -
Product Lead for a Mark Cuban-backed non-profit AI for Anyone
Designed curriculum and virtual workshops for AI content, webinars, and workshops that have amounted to 3000+ attendees (including global location in Vietnam) Trained a cohort of 10 people to deliver AI workshops across the country.
Written and Published a Data Science Book (https://www.amazon.com/ABCs-Data-Scienc ... C65&sr=8-1) with over 1.5k purchases on Amazon
Started a Youtube Channel on AI and Data Science Content as a side hobby!

First, I would like to say you did well backing a 750 in your GMAT; that's quite exceptional! Also, I would suggest adding more about your overall statistics and giving brief information about any additional courses, certifications, and academic accolades and you are good on the academic front.
Coming to your work experience, I would suggest highlighting your roles & responsibilities, critical projects, and any international experience and back them up with substantial examples of leadership, excellence in the field, professional accolades, and decision-making in your tenure. Moreover, since you are from a medical background and your post-mba goals are in healthcare, I recommend that you go through our article on Top Programs for MBA in Healthcare Management, this would most certainly help provide insights about how to approach your MBA application with a healthcare background.
About your ECAs, try to give a brief account of your contribution, the challenges faced, leadership roles played, the impact generated, and the relevant skills developed through your ECAs so that it doesn't sound just like participation! Furthermore, being an author and having your own youtube channel score points for diversity and would explore new horizons to help start an interesting conversation with the adcom!
Overall, you have a decent profile; however top B-Schools, especially the HWS trio, can be a stretch for anyone; hence, you have to be absolutely clear about why you wanna pursue an MBA and be clear on how an MBA from your target school will help you reach your goals & aspirations. Furthermore, branding indeed plays an important role in the application; however, the adcom is more intrigued to know your strived in your role and worked above and beyond your responsibilities to help your company grow!
