Hey guys,

I am in a little bit of panic mode and looking for some advice from you experts. My exam is scheduled for the Tuesday. I did a practice test yesterday and today and got really poor score. Here is my breakdown.

- GMATprep Exam 1 - 650 (48Q, 34V) - 2 weekends ago
- GMATprep Exam 4 - 610 (44Q, 30V) - Gave this morning
- GMATprep Exam 6 - 610 (47Q, 27V) - Gave yesterday

I am a bad test taker. Halfway through the verbal section I was literally shaking. Also I can manage my time in MGMAT cats (scored 34+ in verbal section in 3 tests) but GMATprep verbal I seem to always fall behind 3-4 mins. Also GMATprep verbal section I find is much more dense than MGMAT.

I am confused where I stand at the moment. I want to apply in Round 1 and aiming for 650+. My target schools are Rutgers, Simon and Carroll. Any helpful hints, advice? Should I try another practice test tomorrow? I cannot postpone my exam as I took this week off from work to prepare for my test.

Hi V6Highlander,

Since your Official GMAT is in 3 days, you should NOT be doing any work that is too strenuous - so NO CATs and NO 'cramming.' A bit of light review/practice is fine - such as reviewing these last two CATs with the goal of defining WHY you got questions wrong. I'll bet that there were plenty of questions that you COULD have gotten correct (except you made some silly/little mistakes)- and those mistakes are why your score decreased slightly. You should also try to get some extra rest so that you can go into Test Day calm and ready to work.
