I'll attemot again in May or June. Desired score is 700. I gave GMAT for just one school that's ISB Hyderabad (India) they have a cutoff of 690.

As far as I know, ISB do not have a cut off of 690. I came to know about some people who got admitted there at 650. You can say nearby 700 is safe to apply. Anyway, you have a lot of time. Use this time in right strategy and preparation. 530 shows that you lack fundamentals of both Quant and Verbal. If you need further advise, please feel free to post. You can look some for some course, study plan, etc.

Don’t be disheartened and don’t loose hope. You can definitely get the desired GMAT score with right preparation. I would suggest starting from scratch and spend more time on learning concepts and then moving to practice questions

Hi, pankaj17,

Remember that Sachin Tendulkar couldn't hit century in his first innings, it doesn't mean that he can never hit it in his lifetime. Your GMAT jeourney has began. So, don't worry, identity your weak areas & take help of GMAT prep companies, if you evaluate so, and try to find strategy to improve your GMAT score in next attempt.

ALL THE BEST!!!

Regards,
Raxit T.

Hey,

Don't get demotivated, it exam not life.

Yes you spent 1.5 month with full dedication, but you did not get as you expected.

You know what..for GMAT people try 4-5 attempts..they spend 3-4 years..so don't worry..you had just one..if you have desire, dream..then come and get hard..

Before say something I would like to know some details..

1) What is your sectional score?
2) Have you attempted some mocks( atleast free gmac 1,2 mock) , what was your score?
3) What score you are expecting??

Ok, now comes based on your score and that information you provided I would like to tell you one thing GMAT is very smart exam, it's not like university exam that after 5-6 or 1 month's preparation you get good marks. GMAT is for MBA that mean a quality test, what colleges or companies look in suitable candidates. It exam of patience , practice, smart analytical thinking, approach, decision making and time management.

Don't worry, I would suggest, before join any course think before once. Here at GMAT CLUB n number of questions are available for each section. You should practice hard and definitely you will get your desired score. But spend some time at-least 3 months then you will learn from your mistakes and you will not commit that mistakes in exam.

Join test series, join gmat club tests and there are 5-7 free mocks test available. So don't waste your money..ultimate you are going management person..so think like management guy...everything is available on net at free of cost..give some effort..

Good luck..

I think you need to relearn OG2020 and Manhattan series again, but do it slowly this time. There are lots of knowledge, if not huge, to discover when I studied them slowly.

Perhaps, it is because that I have normal IQ and am not used to English.

GMAT Score 530. With 45 days of prep I gave and that's my score. It's disheartening. Not sure whether to even try again. I had referred to Manhattan Strategy Guides , Veritas videos and OG 20.

45 days is less time for preparation of GMAT.

So, analyse your ESR report and identify your weak areas and start focusing on them.

Make a proper study plan (many study plans are available in this forum) and follow the same.

All the best
