Hey there
I-S-B! No worries at all about posting here. This is exactly the kind of thing we can help with.
While Schulich School of Business requires a minimum 3.0 GPA, your application with a 2.92 GPA shouldn't be automatically ruled out. Here's the thing: your 5 years of work experience are seriously impressive, way more than the 2-year minimum. That kind of real-world experience can be a huge asset in their eyes.
Of course, a strong GMAT or GRE score can definitely help balance out a slightly lower GPA. They typically see scores in the 660+ range for the GMAT, so that could be a good target. And absolutely, don't underestimate the power of those letters of recommendation and your statement of purpose! A well-written SOP that highlights your accomplishments, relevant skills, and why Schulich is the perfect fit for you can really make a difference.
Here's what I would recommend: put all your effort into crafting the strongest application possible. Showcase your experience, achievements, and potential through your essays and personal statement. If you're worried about your GPA, a strong GMAT or GRE score can go a long way.
So, chin up! Even with a GPA that's a touch under the minimum, a well-rounded application that highlights your strengths can definitely open the door to Schulich.

Hi I would like to apologise in advance if I posted in the wrong forum.
I want to get into Schulich School of Business at York university.Their minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 and work experience 2 years.
However although I have a lower GPA of 2.92 but a work experience of around 5 years.Due to my low gpa will my application be considered? Will I get accepted if I get good LOR and a solid SOP and essays on top of a good GMAT?
Thanks.
