Hi,

I am relatively new to this forum (5+ months),however I would like to mention I am grateful to all the contributers of this forum because whenever I have had issues with questions I have found links or answers on GmatClub. You guys have helped me so very much. I scored a 610 in GMAT November last year, I gave the GMAT online last friday and I just got the results 740(Q49,V41)However to my dismay my IR score is below average (4)
Maybe because I gave the exam during early morning hours (Finished at 1am)or decided not to take the 5 min break (took only 1 min) I really cant figure out. My question is if I can adequately support my essay and other parts of my application will therebe a huge drawback because of my IR score ?
I am a little worried.Considering the prevailing pandemic situation in Kolkata it wont be possible for me to give the test again for quite a while. Any feedback would be helpful
P.s.I am targetting NUS,Oxford,Cambridge,Warwick,LSE, ISB and the IIM A ,B and C.
P.P.S I have an 8.11 CGPA in college and 9 years of work ex ,3 in IT and 6 in Insurance

Congrats on your great score. IR score will play a vital role for some of the top B-Schools. However, you can explain your situation in your additional essay in the application. It seems that your IR is ok with your targeted schools.

It would be good to check with the current students at UK universities.

Hi, thank you and yep i m trying to reach out to people in colleges in UK. To be honest there is nothing I can do now except maybe work on my essays and applications and hope and pray that colleges understand the effort taken by students to prepare and stay motivated in the midst of a pandemic. My husband and I are both essential workers so it has been really stressful. I dont want to put up excuses. But I really have no idea what went wrong with IR. maybe late night exam taking along with the no break section idk.
