LSAT seems to be too hard. The passages are very dense I feel.
Are they suitable to practice for GMAT RC?
No, they are not, They test a different kind of reading (consider that lawyers and business executives read different types of material and are expected to digest them at different levels).
Check out these videos for how to best read GMAT RC:

Hey avigutman, thanks for the reply.

LSAT tests Science, humanities, social science passages also.

Is it beneficial doing them?

And are the question types same with same structure?

Only thing I could spot different was Parallel reasoning (extra in LSAT).

Please guide.

If you've run out of Official RC questions from the OG, consider checking out the Online only question banks. Regularly reading similar articles and working on a reading method that promotes absorption may also be helpful. Getting a sense of how INFERENCE questions work on GMAT RC and perhaps working with a study buddy with strong RC skills may also boost your performance.

Thanks. The problem I face with official questions is lack of good solutions.
So learning is minimum out of those.

No one shows passage analysis and how to read the passage.
I have been solving OG questions but not able to improve as the training material with respect to solutions is limited.
Official solutions don't teach you the strategy.
GMATClub expert replies lack passage analysis. On some passages all the questions dont have an expert answer either.

Any suggestion how to solve these pain points?

Have you tried LSAT passages?

Does it make sense to do LSAT passages for a Novice in RC?

They seem pretty hard.

I never tried LSAT passages. IMHO as you are Novice in RC, we already have sufficient GMAT RC official passages.

As per my knowledge, even LSAT RC passages doesn't have passage analysis or in-depth solution. I would suggest you to use a course such as e-gmat or TTP to build these skills. Only later is it suggested to solve OG questions, which when solved after getting basics in place will not require passage analysis or expert answer for every OG ques.

Hi,

I am really bad with RC. Which is affecting my entire verbal. Due to timing issues, or throwing off the algo due to bad accuracy.

I have a few questions -

1) How much can one improve in RC in 2 months? (fundamental reading skills arent great but I want to work on them as much as I can in 2 months)

2) LSAT seems to be too hard. The passages are very dense I feel.
Are they suitable to practice for GMAT RC?
GMATNinja What your view? Someone with bad skills with RC should do LSAT? Asking this as the difficulty is way higher. I need to first ace medium questions for the exam to even give me hard questions.

Since you are struggling with RC, give this article a read:

GMAT Reading Comprehension Tips: Top 8 DOs and DON’Ts

I'm here if you have any questions.
