Hi! believe that when the sentence says
other, it means
other (characteristics).
But that's my whole point—you simply can't use
other by itself to represent something plural in English. It sounds ridiculous. If you tried to do that in speech, people would laugh at you—or simply assume that you don't speak English very well.
Hey, I can say "woof woof" when I mean "dog," but that doesn't make it standard English.

Anyway,
other is obviously just a typo. No biggie.
Here's another sentence that makes things pretty clear:
Some lies are more dangerous than other.Does that sentence work? No. You have to use
others to make logical sense.
