Hi and congratulations on your admits. I have heard similar feedback over the years about business schools in Spain. If you’re planning to work in Europe, and especially in Spain, you are expected to know Spanish with a few exceptions. If you look at the employment reports, you will see that many of the graduates end up working outside of Spain. I haven’t looked at the latest report but the one from last year I think had 70-80% working outside of Spain. It’s a good program but not a great country to find MBA positions.
I think you’re doing the right thing by talking to the current students and getting first-hand experience feedback. Your lengthy work experience may come in handy for locating a job. That’s a good thing.
If you already have UK work experience, does it make sense for you to stay in the UK? Do you have a good brand names on your resume? What about the work permit you get after graduation from IE or MBS? Is the UK work permit better or active for a longer time?
Do you have a network you could rely on to get a job? Would it be easier for you to leverage that network if you graduated from Manchester or from IE? I am guessing MBS but that’s something only you know.
PS. MBS does have some cool elements to the program such as the final project structured as a consulting gig in the quarter. It seems like a great way to showcase yourself in front of a potential employer and that could be the reason moore graduates are finding jobs....
