does any of the MGMAT books cover permutations/combinations and probability? if yes, which one?

thanks in advance.

shoonya

MGMAT is quite good, but for more in depth study - look at veritas "Project GMAT" which is specifically aimed at statistics, probability and permutations/combinations.

necromonger,
rhyme,
anybody else..

Q1- Could you tell me how many pages / problems in the MGMATs are dedicated to combination / permutation / probability?

Q2- Also & most importantly: although you seem to like them all to the point of wholeheartedly suggesting to invest in the whole 7-book series, could you make a top-3 (min) / top-5 (max) list of the most useful, most bang for the buck MGMAT guide (given that I'm a little short of money after having spent all my GMAT budget on IMO-USELESS KAPLAN COURSES..)???

Thanks in advance for the prompt answer!

Mercer, to answer your questions
Q1 - there is one book MGMAT that has comb/perm/prob - it is 3 chapters with about 4-5 pages per chapter and approx 15 problems per chapter. But as I mentioned, I did not like their approach to comb/perm problems.

Q2 - top-3 MGMAT books, imho
-Sentence Correction SC
-Word translations WT (distance, speed, work problems)
-Geometry.

Honestly, SC and WT are tops, the rest can come anywhere.
