My situation is that I've already got a copy of the 4th edition strategy guides (8 books) that were given to me by a friend and thus I'm not sure if I should buy the full new edition self study package or whether I can get away with just buying the practice exam package.
If I don't buy the full package I would purchase the 3 GMAT review official guides on top of those as well as the manhattan practice tests online.
Do you think I would be missing anything valuable if I don't buy the full package and just work with the above?
You can see a list of everything included in the Guided Self-Study package here:
https://www.manhattangmat.com/gmat-prep-self-study.cfmThe major items included in the package that you cannot buy separately are:
Class Recordings (GSS Prep Plus only)
Section Recordings (GSS Prep Plus only)
There are also some online resources and supplements which you did not mention that are included in the program (see link).

Also as you are aware there is a new 13th edition official GMAT guide. In the Manhattan strategy guides I can see a list of questions listed for each topic (i.e. number properties, geometry etc.) where is directs the reader to the official GMAT guide 12th edition. Have the orders of those questions changed in the new 13th edition or can I still use that exact same list of question numbers from the 4th edition to guide me through the 13th edition gmat review book?
In general, you'll be totally fine using your 4th edition guides. The 4th and 5th edition guides share the same question banks and online practice exams so no need to worry about that. There are a couple new and heavily updated 5th edition guides you may want to consider purchasing, such as the GMAT Roadmap, IR & Essay, and Critical Reasoning.
The questions in OG13 are slightly different than OG12. We published an analysis on our blog (
