I found out today... I got in. I did the optional video interview and applied R3, thought they were going to decide closer to the end of May. Good luck everyone!

Created this account just to say this: I applied the weekend of the deadline for round 3 and did the optional video interview by the weekend of that deadline as well. Found out today that I was accepted. Congratz to those accepted and good luck to those who are still waiting for their final answer.

What was your guys' deadline to put down the $1,500 deposit?

Thanks

Hey guys,

Thought i'd hit up the forum and look for some pointers:

My GMAT: V: 29/53% | Q: 46/73% | AWA: 6/91% | Total 620/70%
Graduate GPA: 3.6/4.00 - chem. engg / petroleum engg. (from USC Viterbi School of Engineering)
Undergrad GPA: 3.84 /4.00 - chem. engg
Solid recos
Good enough essays
4 years of works ex at a big oil firm

Applied to MBA.PM at Marshall Class of 2015. Round 4 (May 1st deadline)

Have been invited to submitted a video interview - guess that's applicable to every candidate applying to MBA.PM.

Do I stand a chance? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

The only potential question mark that I see in your profile is your verbal score. What were your grades like in your English/Reading/Writing classes? Maybe those grades can help to validate your ability in those areas...

Hi Jay,

My TOEFL was 110 / 120.

I know I screwed up on the verbal - but my GRE was much better - and my AWA was 6 as well... so that's that..

Thanks for your time..

If you don't hear back from these other schools by May 15th, will you lose the $1500? I am assuming UCLA or Chicago are your top choices.

Yes, I will lose the $1500. I am holding off till the last minute since I am supposed to hear back from Chicago this week; It sounds like I am being strongly considered at this point. The admissions office called me earlier this week and asked me to write up an explanation/plan for my work situation should i get accepted.

Great....all the best! I've applied at UCLA in R3 and at USC in R4. Just wondering if I do get admitted to USC and they let me know much before UCLA does...
Just curious...are you based at SoCal...do you plan to travel to Chicago?

Yea, I hear you. You would think that the two schools (USC and UCLA) would set their deadline and notification dates more insync with one another. You will likely end up losing $1500 if you are holding out for the other school. As for me, I plan on moving to the Chi area if admitted. I am planning to arrange an internal transfer, but if not I will pick up work out there. However, I will be very happy to attend USC as well. I just recieved the email today about setting up my profile and pre-fall stuff!

I applied to UCLA in 3rd round as well, but one full month before the deadline. Not sure if that will have any bearing on my chances vs waiting until the day of the deadline...
