D = 18(2/3) = 56/3

T = 2(2/3) = 8/3

S = D/T = 7

Ho wdo you calculate T ( T = 2(2/3) = 8/3 ) ??

The time is 2 hours and 40 mins. When we represent then in a fraction form in terms of hours, it would be 2 and 40/60 hours i.e. 2 and 2/3 in mixed form!

Hope it helps :)

Regards,
Arpan

let a(b/c) be the mixed fraction.

To convert it into a fraction. We can use this formula.

Fraction = a*c + b

Theory. :- Let D be the dividend. when D is divided by a divisor c .Let the quotient be a and the remainder b. We can write the dividend as D= a*c + b.

Its the same theory used to convert mixed fractions into proper ones
