Hey, need some advice about school selection. This is a bit long so bear with me.

Academics -
• UG University of Melbourne- Bsc. mechanical engineering 66% avg.
• 750 GMAT
• Won quite a few academic competitions

Work experience -
• 2 years working for an online retail store startup – part-time, during my bachelors.
• Total of 6 months of volunteering (spread out in different organisations)

Speak 4 languages fluently: French, Italian, Spanish and English
Special factors: French and Italian but I have Lived in India for 4 years, Singapore for 1 year and Australia for 3 years.

What I want from the degree:
Prestige, good alumni network
Allows me to get a job in a top consulting firm

No preference on location. I’m currently looking at HEC’s and LBS’s MiM.
Any other school you would recommend? What are my odds in the ones I’m currently looking at?
What are your thoughts on double degrees? Like HEC-Yale? Are they more competitive than the normal MiM?

Hi there,
Thanks for posting and nice job on your GMAT. While there are still some things that I'm not clear on (when you graduated, if in the past what have you been doing, other leadership examples, how recent volunteering was), and there are unknown factors that make an impact such as recommendations and essays, overall I would be hopeful that you'd be considered at the programs you've mentioned, yes. Re: the combined degree programs, it really depends and varies; feel free to contact admissions offices and ask about the average profiles and acceptance rates etc. One ranking many reference for top programs is the Financial Times ranking:
