If I will submit EA score instead of GMAT, will it be any drawback? (Full time MBA)

I don’t think so really. Not during these crazy times. If a program accepts the executive assessment score in addition to GMAT, it will be treated similar to the GMAT.

What many programs said about GMAT and GRE is that they don’t convert GRE scores to GMAT or vice versa. Instead, they compare like scores.

So… your EA score would be compared to EA score of other applicants. But it is just one part of the application. Think about programs that allow score waivers - that’s not even a data point.

Hi experts,

I took the GMAT officially eight times, maxing out on the number of attempts. I got my score to a 690 (Q48 / V36). However, I also took the EA and received a score of 162. (Also the GRE 2x 3-4 years ago and did not do well - barely broke 310)

I'm applying to a few schools (e.g., Booth) that do not take the EA for the full-time program, and I'm writing an optional essay to call out my below average GMAT. Should I mention I took the EA and got a 162 in the optional essay for these programs? I think comparatively my 162 is stronger than my 690, but I know these schools do not accept the EA for the full-time program.

Best,
Alex

Alex, don't let your GMAT score discourage you from applying to top programs, just make sure other elements in your application are strong.

We have seen many candidates admitted to top schools with GMAT below 700, as you can see here: https://www.aringo.com/aringo-top-mba-gmat-results/
