Hii, I am currently in 2nd Year BBA. Can someone can tell me whether I can do mba without work  experience? Please guide me. I am really confused what to do
Hi ishjk,

An MBA from any country barring India will require at least 3-4 years of work experience. However, in your case, you can apply for a Deferred MBA program.

Our MBA consulting team has helped ample students secure admissions for the Deferred MBA program with good scholarships. You can schedule a free call with our consulting team here.

You can also call the team directly via call at +91 7780769732

Hello ishjk,

Thanks for writing in.

Yes; you can do an MBA without work experience - you may apply through CAT (right after undergrad) or apply for Deferred MBA programs. Having said this, it is recommended, though, that you apply with some work experience; you will not only have a good chance at your target schools but also appreciate the curriculum and opportunities a lot more.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Echoing all the comments above. Unless you are really an unusual and top notch candidate, you really need 3+ years of work experience to be considered for most programs.

If you are interested in pursuing an MBA, our advice is to make a long-term plan so you are optimizing your chances for when you do apply. That includes securing a good score on the GMAT/GRE, accruing good work experience, developing strong relationships (for recommendations), and demonstrating good leadership in extracurricular endeavors.

Let us know if you need help setting this up.

ishjk - Broadly, for MBA programs abroad, it's recommended (and in most cases mandatory) to have atleast 2 years (and preferably 3-4 years) work-ex. You could check here for the average age/ work-ex at top MBA programs.

Applying to a Deferred MBA is another route, but given that these are typically more competitive than MBA's, make sure your profile stands strong amongst the competitive pool.

Feel free to reach out with your profile/ CV if you'd like to have a deeper chat.
