I know someone(friend's friend) who has followed this path. But that is just 1 case that I know of. One of the major cons that i got to know from him was that the salary package offered by the companies that come to campus is very low compared to someone earning in the US with a MS degree. But again that is because companies that come to campus for hiring usually expect a candidate with 2 yrs of work exp. hence the low package.(this is for the traditional 2 year mba program in India not executive mba.)

Hi,
I did my MS in Computer Science from The University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, USA in the years 2008-2010. Since 2010 June I have been back to my small hometown in Telangana, India, assisting my father in our family business. Recently I made a tough decision of moving out of my family business and of going out on my own
I wanted to do MBA to switch my career and I also want to think of it as a sabattical. Also I wanted to build a diverse network of friends as I have been in a very specific domain all these years.
But I am planning to apply to some B Schools outside India as the competition in India is tough for anything.
I am anxious about the applications given my high age and experience. Also I have very less time for preparing for GMAT. I started in July and I plan to give my exam in the first week of November 2020. And I wish to get a good score ie., 700+.
So this is my journey. Hope you find some similarity with me. And all the best for your journey as well.
