Applied for MBA, schools-John Hopkins,Maryland,georgia tech,purdue,carrol,Baruch
Applied for MS Analytics, school-ut dallas,tennessee,Stevans,GW,Rady School SanDiego,drexel,UNC.Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,minessota
I have been interviewed at Hopkins for now.Received rejection from minessota and florida.
GMAT - 550 (25v,41q) with 4 years of work experience in finance and statistics(non-government sector including World Bank and WHO). I have taken GMAT 4 times and find myself lost in the game too. Second round applications. If any Female advantage in terms of score! Academics-BA(Economics) 3.7/4, India and MSc Finance 3.75/4, UK.
How would you guys want to evaluate out my chances in the said ones or some more I could look at? Its really disappointing how everything comes down to GMAT. I mean I really have the caliber to nail and know where I want to direct myself! Would in anycase be great if I get to share some similar experiences/reviews.

This is my personal OPINION (read: not fact): It is really unfortunate that you are limited by your GMAT. I agree that standardized tests can be brutal and don't always portray the true ability of someone. But, if you have taken GMAT 4 times and your highest is 550 then I believe that really shows your capacity. If you have taken GMAT only once (or maybe twice) and have gotten a low score, I could imagine that you were not prepared, not in good conditions, bad luck, etc. But 4 times and still below-than-mean/median score? Then it could be your capacity is there. There is nothing wrong with limited capacity though. There are people above and below average in every aspect. That's just life.
If you have a solid background and story, hopefully some schools would look pass your GMAT score and admit you. Otherwise, I believe it is quite tough. Still I wish you good luck!

Thanks greenzie, well I wonder the outcome in my case. I already have strong GPAs and international Masters degree in Finance, along with some UN international work experience in public sector. This would be another hell of a post if I get through any of the above programs. This score I received in my second attempt actually, as they that we also sense the rigor etc, so fingers crossed. Love to hear more experiences and stories. Thanks again!
